God values all kinds of service! Why Crew? In the Apostle Paul's letter to the Corinthians, the word used for “minister” means “under-rower.” This refers to servants who sat below the decks of ships to pull the oars and row in time with one another at their captain’s commands. At the HUB we are one Crew and together we follow the commands of our King, Jesus. Each individual Crew has unique responsibilities that are vital to life at the HUB. As such, many different types of skills and service are highly valued. We rely on one another as we seek to establish a dwelling place for God and a refuge for His people. Statement of Faith I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God for salvation (deliverance, healing, and sustenance) to everyone who believes; first to the Jew, and then to the Gentile. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith: as it is written: The righteous shall live by faith. - Romans 1:16-17 We believe that Jesus paid the price and is sufficient for everything we need, both temporally and eternally. We set our hearts to trust Him, relying on the power of God rather than in the wisdom of man for all that we need. Form of Worship Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, for this is your true and proper worship. - Romans 12:1 "If you love me, keep my commands." - John 14:15 "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me." - Luke 9:23 We believe that worship is a way of life. We take Jesus at His word and devote ourselves to living out His commands. We are willing to embrace sacrifice when needed as an essential element of following after Him. Financial Strategy Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. - Mathew 6:33 We aim to align ourselves with God’s will in full expectation and trust that He will provide all that is needed for His purposes. We are fully dependent on God moving for our provision, whether in the hearts of His people to contribute to our work or through supernatural means. We do not make solicitations for finances or our needs, we do not charge money for ministry, and refuse to turn God’s house into a marketplace. Financial Strategy Marketing Strategy Those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. - Matthew 23:12 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you. – 1 Peter 5:6 We trust God to promote and raise us up in His timing. We do not promote ourselves, advertise, or use marketing strategies of this world. Believe Jesus This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent. – John 6:29 Our primary work is to personally believe Jesus and trust Him in every aspect of our lives. Equip the Church for Spiritual Maturity And Christ himself gave some to be apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, until we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. – Ephesians 4:11-13 We train believers in their Christ-given callings for the work of ministry so that together we may become the mature and spotless Bride who is ready to receive her King. Called to All Nations Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. – Matthew 28:19-20 We are called to all nations to make disciples by teaching the Word of God and demonstrating a life lived by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
